Terms of Service

Effective August 2026. Last updated August 2026.

These Terms govern outbidlancer.lol (the “Service”): the public leaderboard, listing pages, checkout, and everything around them. By creating a listing or completing a payment you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not pay for a rank. Before checkout you must check a box confirming you have read and agree to these Terms.

Operator and contact

The Service is operated by Daniele Arcuri, an individual based in Italy (“we”, “us”, “our”), from outbidlancer.lol.

Email: hello@outbidlancer.lol

These Terms work together with the public Rules. If the Rules and these Terms conflict, these Terms control.

What the Service is

outbidlancer.lol is a paid public ranking for freelancers. You may pay to list your own portfolio site or X profile and to occupy a rank based on the amount paid. Listings are paid advertising, not editorial reviews, certifications, endorsements, or a ranking of skill or merit.

A payment buys the rank that amount can take at the moment it is fulfilled, nothing else. It does not buy traffic, clicks, clients, revenue, a fixed duration at a rank, search-engine ranking, or any particular outcome. Anyone can pay more and outrank you at any time. The Today board counts only what was paid in the rolling last 24 hours; the Daily board resets at midnight UTC. We may change, pause, or discontinue categories, boards, or the ranking formula.

Eligibility

Payment, Stripe, and taxes

Checkout is processed by Stripe on its own hosted page. We never collect or see your card details. Stripe's own terms and privacy notice apply to the payment itself. Amounts are priced in US dollars; applicable taxes may be added at checkout.

The minimums and increments, a $5 minimum to join the board, $5 more than the current #1 to take that spot, $1 more than the listing above for every other rank, and a boost that only ever charges the difference between what you already paid and your new total , are set out in full in the Rules and shown before you pay. Completing checkout is an offer to buy the rank at that price. Rank is assigned the moment payment is confirmed, at whatever position the total then supports, on both the global board and the category you chose.

No refunds

All payments are final and non-refundable. Ranking placement is a digital service that starts the instant payment is confirmed, the listing goes live, or its rank goes up, so there is nothing left undone to refund. Being outbid minutes later, a lower rank when the Today window rolls over or the Daily board resets at midnight, fewer clicks than you hoped for, disliking your category, downtime, or a later removal for breaking these Terms does not create a refund.

By paying you ask us to start this digital service immediately and, to the extent the law allows it, you give up any statutory right of withdrawal you would otherwise have for digital content. Where a mandatory consumer right cannot be waived, it still applies. A chargeback or payment dispute without a valid legal basis is a breach of these Terms; we may remove the listing and refuse further use of the Service.

Where a refund is nonetheless issued, by us or by your card issuer, the refunded amount is subtracted from your listing's total. That lowers your rank, and removes the listing entirely if the total reaches zero.

What you may publish

You may only list your own portfolio, your own X profile, or work you are authorized to represent. The name, headline, description, category, and optional avatar image you submit must be your own, accurate, and free of anyone else's rights. You may not impersonate another person or brand, claim a rank on someone else's behalf without their authorization, or link to malware, phishing, or content that is illegal where you or we operate. The full list of what is and is not allowed is in the Rules.

Removal

There is no approval queue before a listing goes live, a completed payment alone puts it on the board. Removal is the only editorial power we exercise, and we use it sparingly: we may take a listing down at any time, without a refund, if it breaks these Terms or the Rules, if a rights holder raises a valid complaint, or if we believe it creates legal or reputational risk. To report a listing, write to hello@outbidlancer.lol.

What you submit, and the license you give us

You keep ownership of your name, description, and avatar image. By submitting them you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, resize, and publicly display them on the board, on category pages, and on your listing's own page, for as long as the listing exists. We do not fetch or display anything from your own website, no favicon, no preview image, no logo. The picture on your listing is either the one you uploaded (JPG or PNG, up to 2 MB) or a monogram we generate from your initials.

No endorsement, no earnings claims

Appearing on the board is not our opinion of your work, and a high rank is not a certification of skill. We do not verify the claims on your portfolio or what you might get out of being seen. A click count describes what our own systems recorded, not a promise that a click becomes a client. Links from the Service lead to sites we do not operate and are not responsible for.

Availability and changes

We provide the Service as it is, without guaranteeing it will be available without interruption or free of errors. We may change these Terms, the Rules, prices, categories, or the boards. If a change is material, we update the date at the top of this page. For a payment already completed, the Terms in force at the moment you paid still apply to that payment.

Liability

We do not limit liability the law says cannot be limited, including for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life or health. Beyond that, we are not liable for lost profits, lost clients, or other indirect damages, and our total liability for any claim about a payment is limited to the amount you paid us for the listing the claim concerns.

You agree to hold us harmless from claims, damages, and reasonable legal costs arising from your listing, your destination site or profile, or your breach of these Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, any mandatory protection your local law gives you still applies. Disputes not covered by a consumer's mandatory forum fall under the courts of the operator's place of residence in Italy.

Who processes what, and general terms

Running the Service involves a few third parties: Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting), Neon (our database), Resend (transactional email), and Vercel Blob (uploaded avatar images). Their outages or decisions are outside our control.

If part of these Terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Not enforcing a provision once is not a waiver. These Terms, the Rules, and the Privacy policy together are the entire agreement for the Service.
