This Privacy Policy explains what outbidlancer.lol collects, uses, and shares when you visit the site, click a listing, or pay for a rank. It is a small site and it collects as little as it can. This is all of it.

Who is responsible

The data controller is Daniele Arcuri, an individual based in Italy.

What we collect

• What you submit when you buy a listing. Your name or handle, portfolio URL, headline, description, category, an optional avatar image, and your email address. Everything except the email is published on the board, that is what you are paying for. The email is not published: it is used to send you the receipt and the outbid notice described below, and to reach you if something is wrong with your listing.
• Payment confirmation. Stripe tells us that a charge succeeded, for how much, and for which listing; that is what we store. Your card details never reach us, they are collected by Stripe on its own hosted checkout page.
• Clicks on listings. Every click passes through a counting route before reaching the destination. We never store IP addresses, only a hash of the visitor's address salted with a value that changes every day, used solely to avoid counting the same visitor twice inside a 30 minute window. Known crawlers are not counted at all.
• Visits to the site. A first-party cookie holding an identifier derived the same way as the click hash above, not a random token, and not tied to your name, email, or account, used to count how many people are on the site right now and how many visited today.
• Messages you send us. If you email us a report, a correction, or a privacy request, we keep that correspondence to answer it and to keep a record.

Cookies

We set one first-party, strictly necessary cookie to recognize your browser and count visitors. There are no advertising cookies and no tracking pixels.

Audience measurement

We use Vercel Web Analytics to see how many people visit, which pages they open, and which site sent them here, for example a link on X or a search engine. It sets no cookies, builds no profile, and follows nobody across other websites. What we get back is counts, not people: we cannot tell who you are from it, and neither can we identify you in it later.

Why we use this data

• Contract. To take payment, publish or raise your listing, send the two emails described below, and show your rank, this is the service you are paying for.
• Legitimate interest. To keep clicks and visitor counts honest, stop abuse, and debug problems.
• Legal obligation. To keep the accounting and tax records the law requires.

Public listings

Your name or handle, headline, description, category, image, rank, and destination link are public on the board. Anyone can see them, including search engines. Do not list anything you do not want shown. Your email address is never published.

Who processes this for us

Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting, and the audience measurement described above), Neon (our database), Resend (the two emails described below), and Vercel Blob (avatar images you upload). Nobody else sees this data, and nothing is ever sold.

How long we keep it

• A published listing stays for as long as it is on the board.
• Payment records are kept as long as accounting and tax rules require.
• Click hashes stop meaning anything the day after they are recorded, when the daily salt rotates.
• The visitor cookie lasts up to a year, or until you clear your cookies.

The two emails we send

A receipt with the secret link you use to check and raise your rank, sent once when you pay. A notice when somebody outbids you. That is the entire list, no newsletter, no marketing email, ever.

Your rights

If the GDPR or a similar law applies to you, you can ask to access, correct, delete, or export the personal data we hold about you, and to object to how it is used. Write to hello@outbidlancer.lol or @danielebuilds on X. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your country of residence. Removing your listing removes what is public about it; getting back on the board is only possible by paying again.

Children

The Service is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has used it, contact us and we will remove what we can identify.

Changes

We may update this policy when the Service or the law changes. The date at the top of this page is the current version.
