Rank is what you pay.
That is the whole algorithm. No reviews. No ratings. No algorithm deciding who gets seen.
Pay more than the listing above you and you pass it. Anyone can take your position later, and you can take it back. Every leaderboard is moved by money somehow (ads, commissions, promoted slots): this one just says the price out loud.
Two boards, not one
The site runs two separate leaderboards. Businesses are on the home page, freelancers have one of their own. They never mix, and a payment on one board counts only there.
Inside each board every discipline has its own list, so a photographer is not bidding against a software agency and the top of a small category stays within reach.
The cheapest way onto a board costs $5.
The deal
- Getting listed costs $5 on the freelance board, $10 on the business one.
- Taking #1 costs $5 more than the current #1. Any other position costs $1 more than whoever is sitting in it.
- What you pay adds up. If someone passes you, you top up the difference, you do not start again from zero.
- Positions are temporary by design, and all payments are final.
What you get is attention for as long as your amount holds. Not work, not a review score, not a badge. You are buying a position someone else can take from you, and you see that before you pay. The exact wording is in the rules.
Clicks, and what gets removed
Every click passes through a counting route before it reaches your site. The same visitor counts once every 30 minutes, known crawlers do not count, and we keep a salted rotating hash instead of IP addresses. The number you see is meant to be real people.
Listings go live as soon as the payment clears. There is no approval queue and nobody judging whether your work is good enough. The only things removed are listings that are illegal, impersonate someone else, or use images without the right to them, and those go without a refund.
Where the idea comes from
Not from me. It is built on outbid.lol, made by Jonathan Wilke, an indie hacker from Germany who also builds supastarter. His board ranks products: startups, apps, tools. He launched it in August 2026 and it worked because the rule fits in one line and the leaderboard is the product.
I wanted the same mechanic for the people I work next to, so I built this version. The mechanics are his, the audience is different. Thank you, Jonathan. Go and look at the original, it deserves the traffic.

I am Daniele Arcuri. I have spent most of my working life freelancing, and these days I build apps too. This is one of them, and I built it because I wanted it to exist.
